Pardina lentils are incredibly popular in Spain and these ones are grown in Leon in Northern Spain. They are small in size (about one-third the size of typical brown or green lentils) and range in colour from a rich medium brown to brownish grey. They have a distinctive nutty flavour, and it hold there shape well after being cooked. This makes them perfect for lentil salads and soups. They are also used for the classic Lentil & Chorizo stew.
Pardina Lentils cook in about 30 minutes at a simmer. They only need to be rinsed in cold water before cooking and do not need to be soaked.
They are presented in a typical cloth bag.
