I wanted to take this opportunity to give you an update on our current status and also some information on how The Paella Company is responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As of today (30th March), Spain is under a total lock-down for all non-essential businesses and workers. This is planned to be for at least 2 weeks. The knock on effect for us, is that we have no ability to restock any products for probably at least 3-4 weeks.
At present, our delivery couriers and Royal Mail parcels are all operating as normally as possible, with extra procedures to ensure parcels can handed over to customers with zero contact.
I want to reassure everyone that we are also doing everything we can to protect our people and to minimise the risk and disruption to our customers and company.
Public Health England has advised that there is no perceived increase in the risk of contracting COVID-19 from handling post or parcels. From experience with other coronaviruses, it is known that viruses don’t survive for long on hard objects, such as parcels. However as an additional precaution, it would do no harm to wash your hands after opening your parcel before removing the contents.
We will continue to keep customers updated. Thank you for your patience during this challenging time.
